Nyasha Phanisa Sithole

Nyasha recently got selected to be a Youth Power Global Leader from 2017-2018 under the Restless Development Youth Power Campaign. The Youth Power Campaign aims to achieve the Global goals to end poverty, inequality and climate change through supporting young people and their collective power to turn these global commitments into reality. In her capacity as a Youth Power Global Leader, Nyasha plans to advocate for policy implementation and strengthen efforts on holding leaders accountable on Global Goals.

Nyasha is a 2015 YPLA graduate, and an advocate on Sexual and Reproductive, HIV and AIDS Gender Equality and Education with a special interest in Youth and Community Development. She recently completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and Gender Development at the Women’s University in Africa. She is the co-founder of a youth led organization focusing on youth developmental issues called My Age Zimbabwe Trust that operates in Masvingo Province in Zimbabwe. She worked as a volunteer Global Ambassador and Country Director of Milky Way Youth Movement, National representative of the Ignite Youth Africa Movement, Member of Pan African Youth Union Working Group, Global advocate- ACT2015! Have you Seen My Rights, Millennium Campus Conference on International Development- Campus Ambassador 2015. She has represented youth voices in various platforms including Eastern and Southern Africa Ministerial Commitment Technical Coordination group, 2014 Adolescent Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights/HIV Symposium in Zambia, 2015 AUC Intergenerational Dialogue on Youth in South Africa, 2015 Inter Governmental Negotiations on Post 2015 United Nations, 2015 Millennium Campus Conference on International Development and Youth
